Summary
Join Hims & Hers Health, Inc. as the Sr. Director, Federal Government Affairs and support our federal advocacy efforts. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with government stakeholders, draft policy-related materials, and manage external consultants and lobbyists. This role also involves overseeing the company's political giving strategy and expanding external communications. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in government affairs, political strategy, and trade association engagement. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Regulatory or relevant field
- 12+ years working in policy, government affairs, communications, community engagement, or policy spaces, preferably at fast-paced organizations
- Experience in federal government affairs and trade association engagement
- Experience launching and/or managing coalitions and/or corporate Political Action Committees
- Expert communicator with strong writing and editing skills
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with federal stakeholders, including Congressional committee staff, elected officials, and regulatory agency staff
- Draft and design collateral such as talking points, outside primary and secondary data/research, one-pagers, committee hearing testimony, and response letters on a variety of topics that educate the public, key audiences, and legislators about policy matters
- Maximize engagement with trade associations and coalitions, ensuring theyโre supporting our advocacy goals and that weโre maximizing thought leadership opportunities
- Manage external federal consultants and lobbyists
- Help manage the companyโs evolving political giving and engagement strategy, including the management, growth, and utilization of our corporate PAC
- Coordinate and track political engagements with external entities and map engagements to key objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare experience in pharmaceuticals or pharmacy
- Experience working with elected officials
- Experience with media training
