Insurance Account Manager

Summary

Join the California Dental Association (CDA) as an Account Manager Advisor! This remote-first position offers a competitive salary ($55,000-$65,000) and a comprehensive benefits package. You will be responsible for handling member inquiries, selling insurance products, resolving customer issues, and maintaining detailed records. A high school diploma or equivalent, an active P&C license (or ability to obtain one within 3 months), and at least 2 years of insurance experience are required. The ideal candidate will also possess strong problem-solving skills and sales experience in the commercial insurance field. Occasional travel may be required. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Active P&C license or obtain within 3 months of hire
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the insurance field

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone calls and written requests regarding coverage questions, premiums, eligibility, rates, account status, claims, billing, policy changes, and benefits as needed to maintain service objectives
• Maintain detailed records of insurance transactions with appropriate company database
• Sell all product lines
• Become a product expert for all coverage lines for P&C and L&H
• Effectively work with interdependent departments, and outside carriers to efficiently process application submissions
• Investigate and resolve customer problems and disputes in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide a high level of service to CDA members and insurance clients
• Conduct outbound calls as necessary to service members
• Work well within a cohesive team to achieve department objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field recommended or equivalent experience
• Life & Health agent license
• Sales or Account Manager experience in the commercial insurance field
• Strong problem-solving skills in response to escalated/complex service issues for all lines of business
• Demonstrated ability to assess needs, present recommendations for coverages and products, and effective at closing sales and other transactions
• Ability to manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, track and document follow up communication, and deliver premier customer service
• Demonstrated knowledge of P&C and L&H insurance policies and coverages to assess needs and make recommendations on coverage
