Responsibilities include designing backend services using RAG architectures, building and maintaining Azure AI integrations, developing Python APIs, collaborating with other teams, implementing monitoring and logging, maintaining security best practices, and researching new AI tools. The ideal candidate possesses proven backend development experience with Python, strong RAG knowledge, Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI expertise, familiarity with Drupal and React, and experience with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development with Python
• Strong knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and practical implementation
• Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI
• Familiarity with Drupal and React environments and their integration points
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency in cloud-based development, deployment, and monitoring (Azure preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services leveraging RAG architectures to deliver intelligent, context-aware responses
• Build and maintain integrations with Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI, optimizing query performance, relevance, and scalability
• Develop Python-based APIs and microservices to support AI workflows and connect with the Drupal + React frontend
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of AI services
• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for AI pipelines
• Maintain security best practices for data handling, authentication, and API usage
• Research and recommend new AI tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance system capabilities
