Summary

Join Fandom as a Senior Product Analyst and contribute to uncovering insights and telling compelling stories through data, helping stakeholders understand "what's next." This remote position in the UK will report to our Director of Product Analytics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics or a related field
  • Proven ability to influence product roadmaps with data-driven insights
  • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and contributing to a collaborative environment. We thrive on a wiki-style culture
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential. Familiarity with s3/Athena is a plus
  • Experience with dashboarding tools is important. We work with Tableau
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical techniques such as t-tests, ANOVA, and correlation analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present insights to both creative and technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Proactively explore the 'why' behind user behavior, feature usage, and new product launch performance
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on our Product teams to manage an analytics backlog and prioritize tasks based on the potential impact on team OKRs
  • Develop comprehensive user archetypes by analyzing content consumption, product feature usage, device type, and other demographic data to build a 360-degree view of the customer, enabling Fandom to create products that better meet our users' needs
  • Create and monitor KPIs and dashboards to track product performance, including new product launches. Use these metrics to identify risks, measure success, and recommend optimizations
  • Analyze A/B and multivariate tests, advocating for proper experimental design and testing practices
  • Craft engaging narratives about emerging trends in our user base and traffic patterns, tailored to resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Confidently justify code decisions and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Maintain strong relationships with our Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product Marketing, and other teams you’ll regularly interact with

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Python or R is preferred
  • Experience working in scrum teams within an agile environment is a plus. You’ll collaborate with 3-5 product managers and participate in standups, retrospectives, and sprint launches
