Summary

Join Eurofins Umwelt West GmbH as an Application Support Specialist (m/w/d) – Solution Support L2/L3 in Wesseling, Germany. You will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues in 2nd and 3rd level support for core applications (e.g., LIMS, CRM, industry solutions). Conduct detailed data analysis using SQL, maintain data consistency, and support application configuration. Analyze and resolve interface problems (APIs, ESB, web services, file transfers), understand data flows across system boundaries, and collaborate with departments. Develop sustainable solutions, document precisely, and support testing of bug fixes and new releases. Work according to established ITIL processes and use ITSM tools. Requirements

  • Good SQL skills (ideally for MS SQL Server and/or Oracle) for performing data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Ability and motivation to independently delve into the functionality and technology of our diverse core applications. Experience in application configuration is a plus
  • Good understanding of various interface concepts (REST/SOAP APIs, (S)FTP, Webservices, Message Queues, ESB) and practical experience in troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and their interaction with applications
  • Experience in systematic error analysis (log file analysis, debugging, root cause analysis) as well as knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with ticketing systems

  • Support and configure applications
  • Analyze and resolve interface problems (APIs, ESB, Webservices, file transfers)
  • Analyze and understand data flows across system boundaries and work closely with departments to understand underlying business processes
  • Develop sustainable solutions, document them precisely, and support testing of bug fixes and new releases
  • Work according to established ITIL processes and use ITSM tools to manage your tasks
