Summary

FEFA LLC is seeking a remote Appointment Scheduling Representative with strong customer service experience, computer proficiency, and at least 1 year of experience in a medical or health insurance environment. The role involves handling patient calls, scheduling appointments, tracking them, communicating with patients and providers, and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday| 7a - 6p CST
  • 1+ year of experience in a medical or health insurance environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (provider specialties, ICD/CPT codes, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must have a workspace in the home with a door and no distractions
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Metric focused & ability to consistently meet productivity standards
  • Typing Test = 35 WPM to qualify for Soft Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Engaging/ outgoing personality
  • Exhibit solid organizational skills, flexibility, time management, and attention to detail in a goal-orientated environment
  • Experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools

Responsibilities

  • Supporting both Inbound and Outbound patient phone calls
  • Ensuring coordination of care for Veterans; scheduling Medical and Dental appointments with active Referrals by contacting Veterans for Provider preferences and availability, then contacting Providers to schedule appointments
  • Tracking all booked and arrived appointments, schedule additions, changes, and inquiries in the appropriate databases
  • Communicating with Veterans and Providers promptly, pleasantly, and professionally
  • Confirming accuracy of Veteran and Provider demographic information within various systems
  • Navigating multiple systems and databases simultaneously
  • Working with leadership to identify and forward potential Quality of Care Complaints
  • Following HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality with the handling of all patient health information and records
  • Completing work in a timely manner while meeting metric expectations, adhering to your provided schedule, and communicating any concerns with leadership
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
