Area Manager

Summary

The job is for an Area Manager in Origis Energy, a rapidly expanding Operations and Maintenance provider. The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, strategic maintenance planning, technical oversight of various systems, work order management, and ensuring operational excellence, safety, and high-performance standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing teams across multiple sites, with expertise in substation maintenance & switching, inverter maintenance & operation, and DC & AC electrical systems
• Profound knowledge in PV solar maintenance and system operations
• Expertise in managing work order processes and systems across varied locations
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating teams to achieve high performance
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication skills for coordinating multi-site operations and collaborating with central operations centers and stakeholders
• Relevant technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related fields is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the solar energy or renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multi-site operations

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct and support a multidisciplinary team of technicians and site leaders
• Strategic Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple solar power sites
• Substation and Switching Coordination: Liaise with the central operations center for the coordination of substation switching
• Technical Oversight: Oversee the maintenance and operation of inverters, as well as DC & AC electrical systems across all sites
• PV System Maintenance: Ensure high-quality maintenance practices for PV solar modules and systems
• Work Order Management: Manage work orders across multiple sites, ensuring clear documentation, timely execution, and adherence to quality standards
