Area Manager

Summary

The job is for an Area Manager in Origis Energy, responsible for managing teams across multiple solar power sites, developing strategic maintenance plans, overseeing technical operations, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires experience in team management, substation maintenance & switching, inverter maintenance & operation, DC & AC electrical systems, PV solar maintenance, work order processes, leadership, organization, problem-solving, communication, and a relevant technical degree or certification.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing teams across multiple sites, with expertise in substation maintenance & switching, inverter maintenance & operation, and DC & AC electrical systems
• Profound knowledge in PV solar maintenance and system operations
• Expertise in managing work order processes and systems across varied locations
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication skills for coordinating multi-site operations and collaborating with central operations centers and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Direct and support a multidisciplinary team of technicians and site leaders
• Develop and implement strategic plans for preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple solar power sites
• Liaise with the central operations center for the coordination of substation switching
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of inverters, as well as DC & AC electrical systems across all sites
• Ensure high-quality maintenance practices for PV solar modules and systems
• Manage work orders across multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related fields is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the solar energy or renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multi-site operations
