Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific as an Area Sales Manager and develop and execute a territory business plan, selling and promoting the Diatherix Eurofins product line to meet sales targets. Identify and develop new client opportunities, prioritize project planning, meet customer deadlines, and manage your territory effectively. Responsibilities include utilizing the Diatherix Eurofins sales approach, educating customers on product value, demonstrating ROI, and developing applicable solutions. You will also monitor competitive services and pricing, deliver effective communications, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams. Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly resolving problems and upholding quality policy guidelines. Take ownership of personal development and attend required training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of sales experience
  • Travel: 1-2 nights per months, 4-5 days per week in the field
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan
  • Sell and promote the Diatherix Eurofins product line to meet territory sales targets for assigned region
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities
  • Prioritize project planning, meeting, completing customer requests/deadlines and organized territory management
  • Sells utilizing the Diatherix Eurofins sales approach
  • Educates customers on the value of Diatherix Eurofins products and services. Demonstrates ROI, value-added proposition and the importance of partnering with our customers to develop applicable solutions
  • Develops and demonstrates a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and budget tracking; monitors and evaluates competitive services, pricing and other activities
  • Delivers oral and written communications in a coherent manner; works in conjunction with marketing and other sales teams to develop and implement sales and marketing plans
  • Recognizes and demonstrates Diatherixโ€™s complete commitment to customer satisfaction by providing prompt resolutions of customer problems or concerns; understands and upholds the Diatherix quality policy and compliance guidelines
  • Takes ownership of personal development and continuous learning; attends required sales training, seminars, and trade shows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer a degree in the biological sciences i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc. with strong quantitative skills
  • Experience selling molecular diagnostics in the outpatient physician market a plus
  • Ideally experience in healthcare, diagnostic, or medical sales
  • Success calling on Pediatricians, GI, Family Practice, and Primary Care preferred
  • Prefer Business to Business sales experience that involves cold calling for new business
  • Knowledge related to PCR, Infection prevention and control, and antimicrobials a plus
  • Must have a positive, winning attitude and the desire for continuous improvement
  • Manages change well
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a large territory and produce sales growth while maintaining existing accounts
  • Must be team-oriented
