Area Sales Manager

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of products to key merchants, domestic installers and relevant house builders
• At least 12 months of a successful track record, including major project and account management
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships with both customers and colleagues
• Self-motivated, dynamic, and driven
• Confident working independently
• Presentable, credible, and reliable
• Possession of a driving license and ability to commute within the patch

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commercial drive and passion, taking full responsibility for sales and profitability budget
• Own and implement your business plan
• Work with colleagues to identify new business opportunities
• Collaborate with other business functions and work closely with the commercial sales team and internal sales developers to help secure new business
• Plan your time effectively based on market trends and competitor activity
• Work closely with your Divisional Trading Manager to formulate plans
• Establish regular business reviews with identified merchant branches in the area
• Encourage mutually profitable working relationships through lead sharing, training, and joint initiatives to increase direct to site sales and commitment for a full range of domestic products stocked in yard
• Challenge expectations and showcase entrepreneurial skills
