Join Gurobi Optimization as the Assistant Controller and play a critical role in overseeing financial operations for U.S. and corporate operations. You will prepare and analyze financial statements, supervise the procurement department, and manage general ledger accounting. Reporting to the Global Controller, you will also collaborate globally to establish reporting and compliance infrastructure. Requirements
- 5+ years in senior accountant or manager roles in private industry, with direct supervision experience, preferably in technology
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficiency in using NetSuite or comparable ERP systems and familiarity with Salesforce, similar CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong time-management and people-management skills, assisting others in prioritizing and executing key requests and deliverables
- Analytical mindset and intellectual curiosity about company operations and their financial impact
- Thrives in a deadline-driven environment, consistently delivering results on time
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and proactively drives improvement opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey financial information effectively and collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting close for U.S. operations and the consolidated entity, coordinating with overseas counterparts
- Supervise a team of two direct reports handling Gurobi’s global procurement process and U.S. payroll, collaborating across departments such as People (HR), Sales, Support (Experts), Research and Development, and Marketing
- Prepare and review general ledger transactions to ensure accurate recording in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Work with the Global Controller and VP of Finance to manage Gurobi’s treasury process, including cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, and lender reporting
- Assist in managing and optimizing Gurobi’s financial systems and ERP software for data accuracy and efficiency
- Support the annual audit and assist internal and external tax specialists with compliance activities
- Contribute to the global budget and forecasting process
- Assess the impact of proposed significant transactions, such as integrating new business acquisitions or expansions
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
