Summary
Join DEPT® as an Associate Art Director and help translate client strategies into compelling marketing assets. This remote role, based within 50 miles of San Diego, CA, requires you to create original concepts, collaborate with copywriters, and develop data-informed creative solutions. You will work with various media platforms, manage projects, and maintain brand standards. The ideal candidate possesses 2-5 years of experience in visual design for advertising and digital marketing, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Requirements
- 2-5 years experience as a visual designer producing for advertising and digital marketing
- A passion for advertising, technology, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat)
- Stellar organization skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
- The ability to work in DEPT®’s creative team’s communication (Slack) and project management (Asana, Harvest) tools
- Great communication across these core areas: verbal, written, and presentation in both individual and group settings
- An eagerness to participate in brainstorming sessions designed toward specific outputs and client solutions
- Openness to other points of view, and able to give and receive constructive criticism
- The ability to tell a compelling story through design
- The ability to work on varied projects, tight deadlines and a high volume of work
- Willingness to learn and adhere to the creative team processes
- Proficiency in the following programs/tools: Figma
- Proficiency in the following programs/tools: Photoshop/Illustrator
- Proficiency in the following programs/tools: Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
- Proficiency in the following programs/tools: Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in the following programs/tools: Mac platform pro
Responsibilities
- Create original concepts with clear, concise design that is both visually interesting, on-brand, and focused on performance marketing
- Keep up with and follow best practices for all media platforms
- Collaborate with an Copywriter partner to create original concepts
- Develop creative solutions that are informed by research and data and that generate a demonstrable ROI for our clients
- Incorporate internal and client feedback and ideate creative solutions as needed
- Maintain responsibility for each project through final execution
- Design in a range of styles as appropriate for different clients, verticals, and media
- Work closely with our Associate Creative Director, Copy, and our team of Project Managers, Art Directors and Studio Artists
