Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or operations
• Experience with the typical start-up operating tech stack
• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting (US GAAP), and modeling
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align financial and operational goals with overall business strategy

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining up-to-date financial records
• Conduct ongoing financial analysis to support business decisions
• Prepare and present detailed financial and operational reports
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and variances
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, providing financial insights and guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide financial and operational support
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads and external partners
• Assist in the efficient execution of operational processes
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and operational efficiency
• Implement best practices and streamline processes to enhance productivity and accuracy
• Lead initiatives to automate financial and business operations processes
• Assist in the preparation of business cases, financial models, and forecasts to inform strategic decisions
• Conduct scenario analysis and risk assessments to evaluate potential outcomes and impacts

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or relevant certification (CPA, FMVA, and other financial modeling certs.)
• Some experience in public accounting (audit, financial advisory)
