Summary

As an Associate, Investments, you will be responsible for performing actuarial and financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, pro-forma projection, and big data analysis to improve portfolio performance, evaluate investment strategies, and support risk and capital management along with overall portfolio management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or financial discipline
  • 2 years of experience within investment banking environment, and/or financial analytics
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment products
  • Knowledge of ALM, insurance products, and financial modeling experience
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and advanced Excel skills is preferred
  • Familiarity with Python, R, Matlab, SQL is a plus
  • Strong technical background in analysis and reporting using MS Office
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and ownership over responsibilities and ability to collaborate across various teams
  • Excellent documentation habits, oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas into simple explanations

Responsibilities

  • Support daily management of existing asset portfolios
  • Build and review attribution tools to analyze key drivers and suggest ways to improve portfolio performance
  • Collaborate with asset managers to develop investment recommendations based on market conditions
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and the efficacy of interest rates and FX hedging strategies
  • Collaborate with other areas of the company to perform capital and risk analysis such as asset modeling, cash flow testing and economic valuation
  • Review and enhance data flow and process efficiency
  • Build strong working relationships across the firm
