Summary
Join Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm, as an Associate to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily reconciliation of internal data to external parties via position, trades, cash, NAV, and fees, assisting in the automation of daily tasks and procedures, prematching of trades and fails management for various markets, supporting clearing and settlement processes across asset classes, EOD trade processing and reporting of daily PnL for various markets, investigation of breaks raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties, maintaining and navigating data such as security master within our systems to help minimize and investigate breaks, maintain relationships with brokers to fix daily breaks, while continually improving processes long term, liasing with external software vendors to troubleshoot current processes and propose improvements, ability to identify areas of improvement, scope requirements and assist in implementation of automation, ability to work with global teams and facilitate handovers.
Requirements
- A bachelorβs degree in Finance, Computer Science, or other related fields
- At least 3 to 5+ years of experience working in trading operations or dev operations within financial services
- Interest in post trade infrastructure
- High level MS Excel knowledge is a must: Comfortable with Look-ups, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Statements
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Aptitude and desire to learn new things and quickly adapt
- Fundamental awareness of global markets
- Buy Side experience is a plus, knowledge of fee/commission landscape a plus
- Task Management via tracking software such as JIRA is a plus
Responsibilities
- Daily reconciliation of internal data to external parties via position, trades, cash, NAV, and fees
- Assisting in the automation of daily task and procedures
- Prematching of trades and fails management for various markets
- Supporting clearing and settlement processes across asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, and Crypto
- EOD trade processing and reporting of daily PnL for various markets
- Investigation of breaks raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties
- Maintaining and navigating data such as security master within our systems to help minimize and investigate breaks
- Maintain relationships with brokers to fix daily breaks, while continually improving processes long term
- Liasing with external software vendors to troubleshoot current processes and propose improvements
- Ability to identify areas of improvement, scope requirements and assist in implementation of automation
- Ability to work with global teams and facilitate handovers
