Summary

Join Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP, an award-winning mid-sized law firm, as a Litigation Associate. This fully remote position (within one hour of Sacramento) offers immediate hands-on experience in various litigation matters, from inception to resolution. You will manage your own caseload, collaborate with experienced partners, and work with diverse clients. This role is ideal for ambitious attorneys with 4+ years of civil litigation experience. The expected salary range is $140,000-$170,000.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members
  • Broad litigation experience including drafting, arguing, and defending motions; taking and defending depositions; trial experience a plus
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, contract and business disputes, premises liability, personal injury claims, and more
  • Handle every aspect of your cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial
  • Work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations
  • Collaborate closely with experienced partners and team members
