Summary
Join our firm as a full-time Associate Attorney and work remotely from California, handling a diverse caseload of consumer protection matters, including transactional and civil litigation. This role involves significant communication with our New York headquarters via phone and electronic means. You will manage client communication, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and negotiate settlements. The position requires California bar admission and at least one year of relevant experience. Requirements
- Have experience drafting legal documents, such as pleadings and legal memoranda, possess strong organizational skills, and be willing to take on a heavy workload
- Be currently admitted to practice law in California
- Have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
Responsibilities
- Maintain and supervise a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firmβs clients in California
- Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review & draft agreements, etc
- Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
- Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
Preferred Qualifications
- Have multiple-state bar admission
- Possess strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis
