Summary

The Associate will work in a growth-oriented team environment to help clients address financial and regulatory issues, providing expert analysis and support for regulatory proceedings and disputes. The role involves quantitative analysis, modeling of industry data, application of finance and economic theory, and clear communication of findings. Associates are responsible for framing problem-solving approaches, project management, developing client relationships, and building personal expertise in new areas. They also participate in marketing and business development efforts.

Requirements

Strong background in economics
Sophisticated understanding of the energy industry with a focus on regulation and regulatory policy, particularly the cost of capital and capital structure
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, but open to other relevant areas such as Math, Economics or related fields with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis
4+ years of professional experience in the field

Preferred Qualifications

Pre or postgraduate work experience in a related field
Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communications skills
Strong analytic, quantitative, and practical problem-solving skills such as econometrics, statistics, programming, modeling, or applied mathematics
Flexibility to use a variety of conceptual frameworks and analytical tools from across different disciplines
Intellectual curiosity

Strong relationship and team-building skills
Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated record of outstanding academic and/or practical accomplishment such as publications in academic journals
