Associate Data Analyst in United Kingdom

Summary

The Associate Data Analyst will design and develop reporting, data visualizations, and machine learning models for traffic management solutions at Verra Mobility, a global leader in smart mobility. The role requires proficiency in scripting/programming languages, SQL skills, and experience with large data sets and distributed computing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• SQL skills essential (MSSQL, Postgres, BigQuery, Redshift)

Responsibilities

• Define the technology vision and strategy for big data analysis for traffic management solutions
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an end-to-end product, from idea phase through data collection, assessment, exploration, development, testing, validation, integration, and support
• Develop machine learning models encompassing data from traffic management sensors and other data sources
• Develop advanced data reporting capabilities and data visualizations; combining multiple disparate data sources to gain detailed insights into photo enforcement programs
• Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Business Analysts and software development teams
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors, and IT stakeholders to provision estimates and develop overall implementation plan for delivery of analytics initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in scripting/programming languages a bonus (Python, R, Java, JavaScript, Scala, etc.)
