Associate Data Scientist

Summary

Join our team at Euromonitor International as a Data Scientist to assist in developing new and improving existing ML models according to client feedback. You will be responsible for maintaining ML models, supervised/unsupervised learning tasks, monitoring data quality, and communicating insights effectively.

Requirements

• A background in Mathematics/Physics/Natural Sciences or Engineering fields
• Intermediate level knowledge of Python/R/SQL
• Skills to maintain ML models: measure performance, add/remove classes, retrain with assessment of the impact
• Skills to clearly communicate problem status, actions taken, conclusions and improvements
• Good understanding of EDA principles, classical supervised/unsupervised learning techniques, main NLP techniques, understanding of deep-learning techniques and awareness of model and computational complexity

Responsibilities

• Maintaining ML models for NLP, Image Processing
• Supervised/Unsupervised Learning tasks
• Monitoring and ensuring data quality
• Communicating insights effectively in both written and visual way

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of merge-request git flow
• Basic scripting including CI/CD, regular expressions, shell commands, HTML/JavaScript and basic webapp development skills
• Experience creating and using cloud resources, familiarity with notebooks, buckets, VMs
• Experience with at least one visualization framework, and/or creating shareable/dynamic reports/apps
