Associate Engineer

Summary

Join us as an Associate Application Engineer and accelerate the adoption of Aeroseal and Envelope technologies in the residential new construction marketplace. In this role, you will develop and maintain knowledge of our solutions and their application in the new construction environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field
• Experience in residential building energy modeling; REMRate or Ekotrope
• BPI, HERS, RFI, or equivalent certification or training experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a construction management or building science related industry. IECC, Energy Star, LEED, WELL Standard, and/or Passive House experience a plus
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with contactors, builders, and other industry influencers
• Public speaking/presentation experience
• PMP trained and/or certified a plus
• The ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge

Responsibilities

• Create and evaluate residential building energy models using REMRate & Ekotrope, provide recommendations for energy measures paired with Envelope & AeroSeal applications
• Travel to RNC jobsites to learn, to educate, and continually fine-tune the applications and provide recommendations to innovation and sustaining engineering
• Provide technical support to our network of installers, as needed situationally on occasion; Envelope processes, building science questions, etc
• Assist Lead Application Engineer with improving technical training materials based on field feedback from dealers currently trained
• Collaborate with our technical team to develop, promote, and train our partners and customers on best practices for the application of Aeroseal and Envelope
• Facilitate educational presentations for builders, architects, code officials, utility providers and 3 rd party vendors, and government state agencies
• Assist with solution demos for architects, builders, utility providers, etc
• Assist Lead Application Engineer with duties of informing Marketing of technical and value proposition details that should underpin marketing messaging
