Associate General Counsel in Australia

Summary

OKX is a digital asset exchange and blockchain ecosystems company seeking a mid-level legal counsel to advise on various legal issues affecting their Australian business. The legal counsel will work directly with the Australian General Counsel and be part of the Global Legal Team, advising on crypto products and technology, managing external counsel, and contributing to multi-jurisdictional advice.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Australian practising certificate
• Previous experience at a top tier Australian firm advising clients in highly regulated industries, or in-house in a highly regulated industry
• Track record of high performance: academically; in legal practice; and/or in a role with a related skillset
• High integrity, intelligence and work ethic

Responsibilities

• Advise end-to-end on a wide variety of legal issues affecting the Australian business
• Support the Australian General Counsel to advise the Australian business on industry leading crypto products and technology
• Manage top tier external counsel and subject matter experts to navigate complex legal issues
• Work closely with high performing, cross functional teams to achieve ambitious projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following legal areas: financial services; disputes; technology; or a legal area you think will bring relevant experience to the role
• Prior experience in a crypto exchange, fintech or other fast moving company
• Interest in crypto and/or blockchain technology
