The ideal candidate will have extensive employment law experience and a Juris Doctor degree.
Requirements

- Extensive experience in employment law
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed in at least one state (active and in good standing)
- 5+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience
- An understanding of several relevant areas of law applicable to the business including, without limitation, employment and litigation matters
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the business on primarily employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and contract negotiations, and also provide legal advice and counsel on other general legal matters, including but not limited to consumer and commercial litigation and compliance issues
- Collaborate with outside counsel and represent the business in administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve employment disputes effectively and efficiently
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and provide recommendations for appropriate action
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and handbooks to ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly
- Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law topics and best practices
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal services
- Be able to identify, advise on and minimize business risks and propose practical solutions
- Consult with corporate attorneys and outside regulatory and litigation counsel as necessary to address difficult legal issues
- Keeps management informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in residential solar, renewables, and/or energy matters preferred

- Base Salary: $180,000 β $180,000 USD
