Associate General Counsel - Product & Privacy

Summary

Join Life360 as an Associate General Counsel - Product & Privacy and provide legal counsel to consumer software and infrastructure teams. Advise on privacy, consumer protection, and marketing matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations. Act as the primary legal contact for two business units, offering guidance throughout the product development process. Monitor and advise on evolving international regulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams on risk management. This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Product & Privacy and is a remote position within the US. The salary range is $195,500 to $287,000, with a comprehensive benefits package included.

Requirements

• 8+ years of legal experience in product counseling for consumer technology companies, including a minimum of 3 years of in-house experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection and privacy matters
• J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar

Responsibilities

• Advise engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle
• Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA
• Advise on consumer protection and marketing matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations, helping Life360 stay ahead of regulatory trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies
