Requirements

  • JD degree and membership in at least one state bar is required
  • 12+ years of experience practicing law, in-house experience preferred
  • US and Global transaction experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating complex agreements, including recycling, feedstock sourcing and sales, construction, operations, and real estate contracts
  • Providing legal counseling in areas such as recycling, construction, engineering and procurement, real estate, permitting, and materials and equipment sourcing contracts
  • Leading and supporting acquisitions and leases of real estate and negotiating ancillary agreements such as rights of way, easements, agreements for the purchase of energy, water and other utilities and infrastructure contracts
  • Assisting the business with legal and compliance due diligence of potential real estate, operational and other assets and services
  • Serving as lead counsel to Redwood’s business development and sales teams and advising business clients on strategic transactions
  • Resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
  • Working with internal teams and outside counsel on strategic transactions and special projects
