This role focuses on developing employee policies, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and supporting geographical expansion efforts. You will collaborate with various departments, including legal counsel, and serve as a subject matter expert for HR Governance. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Human Resources and is a blended work culture, allowing for remote work with the option to work from the New York City, Tempe, or Los Angeles offices at least two days a week. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years of HR and corporate governance experience, and 1+ years of experience working with remote employees and locations.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or 4 years commensurate experience
- 3+ years of specialist experience conducting HR and corporate governance and compliance
- 1+ years experience working with remote employees and locations
- 1+ years of knowledge of employment legislation and HR policies (i.e. HR compliance, EEOC requirements, OSHA, STD/FMLA, Reasonable Accommodation, FLSA/wage and hour laws) and experience communicating and answering questions regarding company procedures
Responsibilities
- Develop employee policies to meet state/federal regulations and company specific needs
- Partner with departments to build standard operating procedures (SOPs) in application of policies
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment law regulations
- Maintain the Visa and Immigration program
- Build relationships with leaders at all levels while maintaining objectivity
- Help with other HR projects
- Identify areas to improve innovation and effectiveness
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
