Summary

Join GoGlobal as the Associate Director, Head of Accounting – Global Business Services (GBS), a critical leadership role overseeing accounting services across multiple markets. You will also serve as the Regional Product Owner (RPO) for Accounting, Payment and Tax, defining the vision and driving the execution of high-quality, compliant, and efficient accounting processes. Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) focused on knowledge-intensive activities and ensuring adherence to local statutory and regulatory requirements. This role combines strategic oversight with deep technical expertise to ensure service excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement within the GBS Accounting Services function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification required
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity within a shared services or multinational environment
  • Proven experience in regional or global product ownership roles, preferably within a GBS or BPO framework
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and statutory compliance in multiple jurisdictions
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Accounting function within GBS, driving excellence in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance
  • Act as a Regional Product Owner, defining the service vision and roadmap in alignment with global finance and GBS objectives
  • Champion continuous improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives to improve service delivery
  • Lead and develop a team of Accounting SMEs across the APAC region, ensuring strong functional capabilities, local expertise, and cross-market collaboration
  • Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability within the team
  • Drive knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across markets
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, and statutory accounting activities
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and local GAAP/IFRS requirements
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational excellence metrics
  • Lead the delivery of accounting services that require deep local regulatory, tax, and statutory knowledge
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex compliance issues, audits, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Collaborate closely with tax, treasury, legal, and external auditors to ensure full compliance in each jurisdiction
  • Partner with senior Finance stakeholders, Business Controllers, and external partners to ensure alignment and support on key business priorities
  • Provide thought leadership and act as a trusted advisor on all accounting matters within the GBS model

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and automation tools preferred
