Join Jobber's growing Legal team as an Associate Legal Counsel and contribute to the success of one of Canada's fastest-growing tech companies. You will provide legal advice on various matters, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and collaborate with multiple departments. Requirements
- LLB or JD from an accredited law school
- Qualified to practice law in Ontario, Alberta or another Canadian province
- A minimum of 1 year of post-call experience in house or practicing in firm with strong preference given to corporate/commercial experience
- A practical, proactive and service-oriented approach
- Excellent organization, communication skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical legal advice on corporate/commercial, privacy, security, marketing and advertising and other matters as they arise
- Draft, review, advise on, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements
- Support the negotiation and documentation of commercial transactions and industry partnerships
- Leverage technology and embrace innovation to improve the day to day operation of the legal function
- Serve as an in-house generalist attending to a wide variety of legal, regulatory compliance, governance and quasi-legal matters as needed
