Summary
Join Wonderful Agency as the Associate Manager, Consumer Public Relations for FIJI Water! You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated PR plans, managing media relations, overseeing social media strategy, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires 3-5 years of communications experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong project management and communication skills. The position is remote for New York-based applicants with occasional travel to Los Angeles. Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of communications experience including CPG, entertainment, or luxury brand PR experience within an agency or corporate environment
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or Events
- Ability to ideate, coordinate and confidently execute events and partnerships with little or no oversight
- Proven track record for media relations and ability to secure branded results
- Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Accurate and consistent, and is well-tuned into attention to detail
- Strong writing, research and presentation skills
- Self-motivated team player that rises to the occasion and takes ownership of projects; acts as a solution provider
- A creative and innovative mindset
- Passion for pop culture and staying up-to-date on latest trends and the changing news cycle
- Strong understanding of social media platforms
- Knowledge of standard PR tools: MuckRack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, media monitoring services, Microsoft Office, etc
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel to lead events
Responsibilities
- Guide the strategic development and execution of integrated public relations plans for FIJI Water
- Identify, outreach and coordinate event sponsorships, collaborations and partnerships that elevate the brands
- Serve as a brand spokesperson, including staffing branded events, high profile award shows and red carpet events, national and regional trade shows, media tours and integrations, sampling programs and more
- Drive consumer and trade media relations efforts, building relationships with key media including drafting messaging and press releases, producing and maintaining media lists, media tracking and monitoring, packaging coverage and clips, and preparing seasonal and quarterly results grids
- Oversee the organic social strategy for FIJI Water to help showcase the lifestyle, people and philanthropy behind the brand. This includes identifying UGC or owned images to share and drafting monthly social media editorial calendars
- Identify incremental projects and out-of-the-box creative ideas such as VIP collaborations, integration opportunities, and brand partnerships
- Oversee the development and execution of the influencer/celebrity outreach plan, focusing on building lasting and credible relationships with celebrity, cultural and influential tastemakers
- Deliver presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders, leverage persuasive communication skills to drive strategic decisions and advance the organization’s goals
- Collaborate with senior management and brand teams, and work cross-functionally with our marketing, advertising, research, and legal teams
- Manage third party vendors and agencies as needed
- Manage client budgets
- Guide and mentor junior team members
