Associate Manual QA Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• 1-3 years of experience in manual software testing, including both 'happy path' and negative/compatibility/configuration tests
• 1-3 years of experience in creating test plans, test case development, defect tracking, and metrics reporting, preferably using Jira
• 1+ years of experience testing within Agile development environments
• Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or TFS/Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in SQL for data migration and extraction testing

Responsibilities

• Review upgrade documentation to define the scope of testing efforts for new releases and customizations
• Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D QA and product managers, to assess new release enhancements and understand pre-existing tests
• Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases that meet quality standards
• Estimate and plan testing activities, defining timeframes and resource requirements
• Identify manual test cases suitable for automation and support the automation effort
• Document, track, and manage bugs effectively, ensuring thorough tracking of issues
• Conduct thorough regression testing once bugs are resolved
• Identify and communicate project risks, such as blocking issues, quality concerns, or resource constraints, to keep stakeholders informed
• Track and report key quality assurance metrics, including pre- and post-release defect counts
