Summary
Join Fandango as an Associate Product Designer, UI and contribute to the design of features and enhancements for their home entertainment products. You will collaborate with Product Managers, developers, and fellow designers to create user-friendly experiences for web and mobile apps. This role requires strong creative development and design thinking skills, along with the ability to translate concepts into production deliverables. You will also need to articulate creative concepts, validated through data and research, and pitch them to Senior Management and Senior-level business partners.
Requirements
- Applicants should have strong skills in both creative development and design thinking
- Must be able to drive creative brainstorming and translate concepts into production deliverables (Figma, prototypes, collaboration tools, etc.)
- The Associate Product Designer must articulate creative concepts, validated through data and research, and in pitch concept sessions to Senior Management and Senior-level business partners
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in Fine Arts, Design, Art, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in product design, preferably in consumer-facing experiences
- Knowledge of cross-platform usability standards and UI specifications
- Understand W3C web and accessibility standards
- Knowledge of Figmaโs design and prototyping tool
- Experience with continuous design, A/B testing and iteration
- Understand W3C web and accessibility standards
- Team player who understands the value of regular and effective communication and team-based problem solving
- Portfolio or UI work samples
Responsibilities
- Work with UX, Product Experience, Product Management, and Engineering teams to design usable products for Fandango home entertainment
- Understand business objectives and user needs
- Use research and data to understand the problems that need to be solved and to drive design execution
- Maintain a detailed design system
- Produce visual assets including icons, and instructional illustrations when necessary
- Modify products in accordance with feedback from users and test groups
- Gather feedback and collaborate across multiple cross functional partners
- Watch consumer trends to identify desirable product traits
- Able to work on multiple tracks and pivot from one project to another
- Maintain a critical eye and obsessive attention to detail
