Summary

The Associate Scientist is responsible for contributing to health economic modeling and evidence synthesis studies within the Modeling & Meta-Analysis team at OPEN Health. They are expected to have a Master's Degree or PhD in relevant fields, with at least 1 year of experience in economic modeling and/or meta-analysis.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant Science, Engineering, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health or Medical Field is required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in economic modeling and/or meta-analysis with a consulting company or pharmaceutical company preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs
  • Design and construct health economic models (i.e., budget impact models, cost-effectiveness models)
  • Performs targeted literature reviews to identify and summarize model inputs and methodology used in previous health technology assessments
  • Conduct relevant data analyses (i.e. survival analyses, meta-analysis) to support model development
  • Draft key study documents including study protocols, analysis plans, technical reports
  • Assists with the delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other staff members to ensure high quality outputs
  • Drafts update slides for regular client update meetings
  • Communicates with clients on calls and sometimes supports senior team members in responding to emails

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design and implementation of cost-effectiveness, budget impact analyses, meta-analysis, or another mathematical modelling
  • Experience with programming languages (VBA, R, SAS or Stata)
