Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years audit experience in public accounting
- Knowledge of Standards for both US GAAP and IFRS frameworks
- Engaged with end-to-end audit process
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting audit findings and advising on improvements
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial documents and transactions
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify issues that may not be immediately apparent
Responsibilities
- Conduct Audits: Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess the organization's financial health, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Examine Financial Records: Review and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and completeness
- Identify Risks and Weaknesses: Identify potential risks, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses in an organizationโs financial systems and processes
- Prepare Audit Reports: Document findings, write detailed audit reports, and provide recommendations to senior management regarding improvements or corrective actions
- Communicate Findings: Present audit findings to management, stakeholders, or regulatory authorities in a clear and effective manner
- Follow-up Audits: Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions have been taken
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tax preparation of simple tax returns is a plus
