Summary

Join Analytica as an AWS Cloud Architect to build and maintain complex cloud-based data solutions using AWS and Snowflake for our CMS customer. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering or related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Current AWS Solution Architect certification
  • 10+ years of professional experience developing and testing large scale, enterprise software
  • 6+ years of experience developing governed data analytics solutions, including expertise in data pipelines, transformations, and visualizations. Including experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, or QuickSight integrations
  • 5+ Cloud based data warehousing experience to include Redshift, SnowFlake, Databricks
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying large-scale cloud-based data solutions
  • Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS tools and third-party systems
  • Proven expertise with AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, IAM, Redshift, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including data sharing, multi-cluster warehouses, and Snowpipe
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala)
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and schema design
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and business needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable and secure cloud-based data architectures using AWS and Snowflake
  • Define data models, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes to support analytics and client needs in the federal space
  • Establish best practices for data storage, processing, and retrieval in cloud environments
  • Transition existing cloud AWS environment without interruptions to ongoing operations
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using AWS tools (e.g., Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift) and Snowflake
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data solutions with existing applications and systems
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms for cloud data infrastructure ensuring data pipeline health and performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to data engineers and analysts, promoting adherence to architectural standards
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive successful project delivery
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership within the organization
  • Ensure data solutions meet enterprise security and compliance standards
  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), encryption, and data masking in Snowflake
  • Monitor and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in AWS data services
  • Maintain system ATO FISMA/ NIST security controls, FEDRamp
  • Optimize Snowflake data warehouses for performance and cost efficiency
  • Fine-tune AWS resources to minimize latency and maximize throughput
  • Perform regular audits and capacity planning for data infrastructure
  • Establish documentation and procedural standards for a transition and the steady state environment
  • Prepare data management and data governance plans as needed

  • Prepare and submit to the CMS Project Officer: Host Annual Utilization Report
  • Prepare and submit to the CMS Project Officer: Host Security

  • Prepare and submit to the CMS Project Officer: Continuity of Operations Plan
  • Prepare and submit to the CMS Project Officer: Disaster Recovery Plan

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification (preferred)
  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAS, Jupyter Notebook)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks i.e., healthcare claims
  • Understanding of machine learning workflows and data science integration in cloud ecosystems
  • Familiar with CMS AWS infrastructure, data management and cloud services tools
