Summary

Join our team as a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer and play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our scalable AWS infrastructure. This long-term (5+ years), fully remote (US-based) contract position requires 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience and expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation using Python. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), manage containerized environments using Docker, and administer Linux-based systems. Collaboration with development, architecture, and QA teams is essential to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS DevOps roles
  • Strong expertise in Docker and Linux administration
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines; GitHub Actions preferred
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code; CDK preferred
  • Ability to write clear, functional Python scripts for infrastructure automation
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and security best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
  • Use Infrastructure as Code, with a preference for AWS CDK
  • Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker
  • Maintain and administer Linux-based systems
  • Write efficient Python scripts for automation and tooling (not application development)
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability

Preferred Qualifications

AWS service experience: ECS, ECR, secret manager, parameter store, SQS, EventBridge
