Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Bachelorโs degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
- 7+ years of integration, systems analysis, or programming experience
- 5+ years of developing systems requirements and design specifications in Azure
- 3+ years of experience in project management/ lead architect positions in Azure development or implementation
- Expertise in AZ PowerShell, GitLab, and Ansible
- Expert in leading and collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets
- Expert knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud and deploying in Government environments
- Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment
- Public Trust- Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Security Clearance
- Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines for cloud adoption and migration
- Define the cloud strategy, architecture roadmap, and technical direction for cloud projects, aligning with business objectives and industry standards
- Provide technical oversight and architectural leadership across multiple cloud projects, ensuring consistency and quality of cloud solutions
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions leveraging services such as Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage
- Oversee the deployment of applications using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
- Ensure cloud solutions are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies based on requirements and cost considerations
- Serve as the technical lead for Azure projects, providing guidance to development, operations, and infrastructure teams
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a place of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Drive innovation by researching and recommending new cloud services and solutions that align with the organizationโs goals
- Design secure cloud architecture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities in the cloud environment
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Communicate architectural decisions, strategy, and project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with other technical leaders to create a shared vision of cloud architecture and establish architectural principles for the organization
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of cloud solutions
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues, ensuring minimal impact to the organization and driving root cause analysis
