Azure Cloud Architect

Summary

Join our team as a remote Azure Cloud Architect in Raleigh, NC for a 12+ month contract. As an expert in Azure Cloud and NetApp, you will support the Infrastructure Section on multiple projects. You will collaborate with clients and Microsoft Azure Support Teams to design and implement Azure solutions, including virtual machines, databases, and network security. Key responsibilities include setting up customer environments, creating images and VNet gateways, configuring Intune for VDI management, and documenting DevOps environments. This role requires extensive experience with Azure, directory services, cloud computing, firewalls, and security best practices.

Requirements

• 5 Years experience as an Azure Cloud Architect, to include Custom Imaging and VDI/Hypervisor, In Tune and MDM management, V Net and Resource Groups and Azure VPN gateways
• 5 Years demonstrated knowledge of directory services (Azure AD and AD)
• 5 Years experience with great Interpersonal and leadership skills - leadership, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and documentation skills
• 5 Years demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing and management (groups, users, virtual machines, etc.)
• 5 Years thorough knowledge of firewalls (access groups, rules, ports and specific pinhole connections), and interoperations between technologies
• 5 Years thorough knowledge of implementing secure, best practices, access for the confidential data and availability between all infrastructures
• 5 Years experience with strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Infrastructure Section with multiple projects and project-related setups
• Work with the client and Microsoft Azure Support Teams for the design and implementation of groups, virtual machines, databases, firewall rules and VPN tunnels from an operations and security standpoint for our Permit Transformation Project
• Setup of our Customer Owned environment
• Create Images
• Create VNet and VPN gateways
• Create VDI machines based on Custom Images
• Setup Intune for management of VDI machines, assign to resources and resource groups in high, medium and low zones
• Document DevOps environment and setup proper rights
• Knowledge share and training with my team during any down time
