Backend Engineer

Summary

Join airSlate's Core Payments Team as a Backend Engineer and contribute to the next chapter of our company's growth. You will work on the payment processing engine, ensuring fast, reliable transactions across the airSlate ecosystem. Implement new features in processing and taxing services, integrate with new payment gateways, handle payment processing and dispute workflows, and manage taxation logic. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong experience with PHP and Symfony/Laravel framework
• Solid understanding of relational databases: PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Experience with Docker and containerized development workflow
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and RESTful APIs
• English proficiency: Intermediate

Responsibilities

• Implement new features in the Processing and Taxing services
• Integrate with new payment gateways and support new payment method types
• Handle payment processing and dispute workflows
• Manage taxation logic for financial transactions
• Develop and maintain shared practices and technical approaches across the Payments Department

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Golang
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and service orchestration
• Experience with payment systems and gateways
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (optional), ideally AWS
• Background in fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS domains
