Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Constructor as a Backend Engineer and contribute to a high-impact search and product discovery platform for enterprise e-commerce. You will collaborate closely with the product team to design and implement features across the entire stack, from backend to APIs and customer dashboards. This role requires experience with server-side coding, API design, high-traffic websites, relational databases, and distributed systems. You will be responsible for building rich product discovery experiences, optimizing backend performance, and crafting testing strategies to ensure 100% uptime. Requirements

• Have experience with server-side coding and API design
• Have worked at a high-traffic website and designed highly available and robust systems
• Have experience with relational databases and distributed systems
• Can work independently

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product to plan and deliver features that impact the whole stack, all the way from the search backend, to our APIs, to the customer dashboard
• Build rich product discovery experiences and developing features that define how users interact with search
• Help determine what technologies we use to make backend performance and database communication blazing fast
• Help craft testing strategies to make sure uptime is 100% and customers stay satisfied
