Backend Engineer

Summary

Join IntelliPro as a Backend Engineer and design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic and architecture for our DeFi applications. Collaborate with frontend and smart contract engineers to integrate backend services with blockchain technology. Optimize the backend architecture for efficient data storage and processing. Implement secure APIs for communication between the frontend, smart contracts, and third-party services. Troubleshoot performance or security issues and stay updated on the latest backend development trends. This role requires strong experience in building scalable systems and blockchain integrations. The position is remote or hybrid in the Bay Area.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Java
• Experience with backend development using Node.js, Go, or equivalent technologies
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and managing distributed data systems
• Proven experience in building and maintaining APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Professional proficiency in both English and Chinese is required, as the role involves frequent communication with internal teams and external partners in both languages

• Collaborate with frontend and smart contract engineers to integrate backend services with blockchain technology
• Optimize the backend architecture for efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing in a high-performance DeFi environment
• Implement secure APIs for communication between the frontend, smart contracts, and third-party services
• Participate in backend code reviews and troubleshoot any performance or security issues
• Stay updated on the latest backend development trends and best practices in DeFi and blockchain
