Requirements

  • 4+ years of coding experience, with at least 3 years of Ruby on Rails experience
  • Knowledge of TypeScript, and modern frameworks like React, Next.js, and React Query
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in designing, developing, and documenting REST APIs and automated Testing, especially unit tests
  • Experience in developing and maintaining design systems, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards across the company’s products
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to succeed in our remote, partly asynchronous work environment

Responsibilities

  • Build Scalable Solutions: Design and develop scalable, reusable components and backend solutions that drive our product roadmap
  • Champion Best Practices: Lead by example in encouraging and implementing engineering best practices across the team
  • Enhance Application Integrity: Autonomously improve the maintainability and security of the application, refine software design, reduce technical debt, and ensure dependencies are kept up to date
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to innovate and ensure the timely completion of tasks
  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and customer success, to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the product development process
