Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of experience in Backend Engineering through first full-time job and internships
  • Possess a solid foundation in programming with Go
  • Have first professional production experience in Go, TypeScript and SQL with demonstrated ownership
  • Be familiar with 3rd-party APIs and interested in learning monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Have 0.5-1 year of software engineering experience in top tier tech companies (FAANG, Uber, Atlassian or similar), hedge funds (Towers Research, DE Shaw or similar) or VC-funded startups. Internships also count
  • Be willing to take ownership of tasks, collaborate, and adapt to feedback

Responsibilities

  • Pioneer the building of a next-generation security monitoring desktop app from scratch
  • Own cross-platform desktop app development for Windows, macOS, and Linux in Go and TypeScript
  • Shape the product roadmap alongside the CTO and Tech Lead
  • Become the expert in all-things-MDM and operating systems at Secfix
  • Tackle deep technical OS-level troubleshooting for device management and solve real customer-impacting issues
  • Be the first to dig into system logs, find solutions to cross-platform issues, and respond to technical customer questions
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Occasionally contribute to a React UI or wrap apps in Electron or Tauri

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate exceptional drive - be in the top 5% of your class academically or have built notable side projects
  • Have experience in SaaS companies
  • Have experience in TypeScript with Node.js
  • Have experience building, deploying, and operating production APIs
