Backend Team Lead

Summary

Similarweb is seeking an experienced Backend Team Lead to oversee and guide a team of full-stack developers. The Backend Team Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and manage large scale services, ensure adherence to coding standards, and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a Team Lead or similar managerial position
• Strong expertise in backend technologies, including .NET, NodeJs, MySQL
• Experience with databases such as dynamo db, firebolt / snowflake
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration/delivery practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• A passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends and a commitment to driving technological advancements within the team

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack developers, providing technical guidance and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
• Design, code and manage large scale, highly available services using cutting edge technologies
• Lead the design of complex applications within a Big Data environment
• Ensure the adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles
• Oversee the team's day-to-day activities, track progress, and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical challenges, resolving issues promptly to ensure project success
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional growth
