Backend/Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of professional coding experience with Ruby on Rails
• Have knowledge of TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, and React Query
• Have experience in designing, developing, and documenting REST APIs and implementing automated testing (especially unit tests)
• Have a strong interest in automation and AI , with some professional experience being a plus
• Have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Are fluent in English , both written and spoken, to succeed in our remote, partly asynchronous work environment

Responsibilities

• Fullstack Development: Design and develop scalable, reusable frontend and backend solutions that align with our product roadmap
• Drive Automation & Innovation: Identify opportunities for automation and AI integration to streamline operations and improve user experience
• Champion Best Practices: Lead by example in encouraging and implementing engineering best practices across the team
• Enhance Application Integrity: Improve maintainability, security, and performance while reducing technical debt and ensuring dependencies are up to date
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to drive innovation and ensure seamless execution of projects
• Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and customer success, to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the product development process
