Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or similar field
  • Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in benefits administration, compliance, and overall understanding of various employee benefits programs required

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and analyze all benefit programs including health, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, short and long-term disability, accident coverage, wellbeing, and voluntary plans
  • Manage the companyโ€™s 401K plan and work with existing 401K advisors
  • Manage the benefits enrollment and administration processes including the annual open enrollment process, employee qualifying life events, and the new hire benefits orientations
  • Continuously evaluate all benefits plans to ensure they are delivered within consideration of business needs, cost effective, competitive with industry standards, and meet the needs of both the company and employees
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Legal, Payroll, and HR to ensure compliance with internal processes, and regulations as well as RFPโ€™s, contract renewals and plan amendments
  • Manage the companyโ€™s leave of absence program and ensure the leave programs (FMLA and ADA) are managed in compliance with state and federal laws with help from external agencies
  • Develop strong partnerships with vendors to measure vendor performance and ensure that all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life, disability, 401(k), etc., are managed appropriately and that vendors are held accountable to expectations
  • Manage all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of the employee benefit programs, including ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, ACA and FMLA
  • Serve as an escalation resource for employees on all employee benefit issues
  • Manage employee platform learning programs and perks
  • Develops and maintains effective communication strategies to drive team member awareness, understanding and adoption of all compensation and benefit programs
  • Manages compensation practices around key touch points i.e. benchmarking jobs, new hire offers, promotions, annual market adjustments and merit
  • Responsible for managing and executing performance management processes for the company, including annual merit process, ongoing goals and objectives, and related trainings

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with self-funded benefit plans preferred
