Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll and Benefits Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and relevant regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in using payroll and HRIS software
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a multi-state payroll environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll and benefits processes catering to exempt and non-exempt employee populations
  • Ensure that payroll processes align with fairness, transparency, and equality values
  • Proactively identify and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues to maintain a positive employee experience
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Generate and analyze regular reports on payroll and benefits metrics for management review
  • Safeguard and maintain accurate employee records
  • Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and optimize benefits administration
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement
  • Cultivate a proactive and transparent communication style
  • Act as a compassionate and approachable resource for employees
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops that empower employees to understand and make the most of their payroll and benefits offerings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification
  • Familiarity with Dayforce and/or multiple payroll and HRIS systems
