Summary

Join Velocity Global's growing international benefits team as a Benefits Specialist! You will play a strategic role in managing insured benefits and retirement programs, overseeing plan design, coordinating renewals, and ensuring stakeholder communication. Collaborate with various teams to align benefits strategy with business needs and manage the benefits inventory. You will also be responsible for project management of new plans and coordinating with global and local partners. This fully remote EMEA-based role reports to the Head of International Benefits. You will manage benefits renewals, pension projects, and act as a liaison between teams. You will also ensure compliance, optimize processes, lead projects, and monitor market trends.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in benefits design and strategy, including international experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- they will collaborate with team members at all levels
  • Project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage & Finalize Benefits Renewals – oversee insured benefits renewals within your assigned regions, working closely with brokers and vendors to negotiate terms, optimize plan design, and drive cost-effective solutions
  • Manage pension and retirement savings projects, ensuring compliance with legislative changes across regions while coordinating updates, implementation, and tracking with internal teams and external partners
  • Act as a Liaison Between Teams – serve as the main point of contact between the Benefits Design Team and internal partners such as People Operations and Benefits Operations, ensuring they are informed about renewal outcomes, negotiation results, and key updates
  • Ensure Compliance & Process Optimization – track benefits programs, conduct audits, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with plan guidelines
  • Lead Benefits Projects & Stakeholder Communication – oversee benefits initiatives with brokers and vendors, keeping internal teams informed while enhancing the employee experience for both internal and external employees
  • Monitor Market Trends & Recommend Enhancements – stay updated on market data and industry trends, collaborating with partners and vendors to ensure competitive and sustainable benefits offerings

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience running pension and retirement projects is advantageous
