Billing Platform Product Manager

Summary

Join Vercel as a Billing Platform Product Manager to design and optimize our billing infrastructure for a diverse customer base, from individual developers to large enterprises. Collaborate with Pricing PMs to create flexible billing solutions that adapt to our rapid innovation pace. You will define the usage data transformation layer, improve billing data model reliability, develop enterprise client billing solutions, and create customer experience billing tools. This leadership role requires expertise in subscription and usage-based billing, technical depth in infrastructure products, and a commitment to rapid iteration and execution. Requirements

• Billing Expertise: You have a deep understanding of subscription and usage-based billing models and platform architecture needed to serve individuals and enterprises
• Technical Depth: You were an engineer or PM of an infrastructure product and you understand how billing intersects with business needs
• Commitment to ship quickly: You iterate fast, validate assumptions, and bring an outcome-focused mentality
• Execution & Influence: You know how to earn trust and get things done
• Quantitative Background: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similarly quantitative field is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Product & price management: design flexible billing infrastructure that can adapt to rapid pricing and feature changes and collaborate with Pricing PMs to build the right price structures and models
• Usage & metering: define the transformation layer for how usage data becomes billable items
• Financial operations: improve reliability and accuracy of billing data models and platform for IPO readiness
• Enterprise & contract management: develop billing solutions for enterprise clients to enable quote-to-cash for each contract
• Billing customer experience & enablement: create customer experience billing tools and support enablement for all user segments
