Responsibilities

  • Contribute to designing diagnostic software systems for Tempus medical devices
  • Interface with biopharma partners and develop plans for investigational diagnostic testing
  • Manage companion diagnostic test design and development in concert with sponsors
  • Prepare and coordinate software system technical design and requirements analysis
  • Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to design diagnostic tests in a regulated environment
  • Communicate with outside scientific teams as well as product and bioinformatics leadership
  • Produce high quality and detailed documentation for all projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D./M.S. in quantitative scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Computational skills using Python, R, and/or Bioconductor
  • Experience in cancer genetics
  • Experience working with next-generation sequencing data
  • Experience with supporting analytical studies
  • Experience with software development and verification process
  • Experience in regulated medical device development
  • Experience using cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Self-driven and works well in interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience with communicating insights and presenting concepts to a diverse audience
