  • Experienced in cross-functional alignment and driving teams toward shared objectives
  • Technical Expertise
  • E-commerce & Platforms: Experience with DTC systems, Shopify, Recurly, Recharge, and 3PL integration
  • Web Development & Architecture: Proficient in Python, JavaScript, React, SQL, AWS, and cloud infrastructure
  • API Integration: Skilled in third-party APIs (Amazon, payment systems, loyalty programs); experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Netsuite)
  • Data & Analytics: Familiarity with tools like Amplitude, Fivetran, Snowflake, and DBT
  • Automation & CI/CD: Building robust pipelines for testing and deployment (e.g., CircleCI)
  • Security & Compliance: Ensuring PCI compliance, data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and website security
  • Leadership and Collaboration
  • Team mentoring and goal-setting for high-impact performance
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and managing overlapping priorities
  • Vendor management for software integrations and technical partnerships
  • Industry Knowledge
  • Understanding of consumer goods, probiotics, and subscription-based business models
  • Experience with SKU management, omnichannel integration, and loyalty program implementation

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the Engineering Team
  • Provide technical leadership, ensuring high-quality decisions and solutions
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Research, and Design teams on priorities and deliverables
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and technical excellence
  • Mentor and grow a team of engineers, supporting their professional development
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and set clear performance goals
  • Drive Technical Strategy and Influence
  • Shape Seedโ€™s technical strategy and advise on architecture, tools, and trade-offs
  • Partner with executives to assess feasibility, resource planning, and risk management
  • Manage budgets in collaboration with Finance, aligning investments with company goals
  • Represent Seedโ€™s engineering team internally and externally, championing innovation

Preferred Qualifications

Healthtech, biotech, or life sciences experience (bonus); passion for advancing science through technology
